VIETNAMESE BEGINNER 02
PRE – INTERMEDIATE VIETNAMESE
Our students are often very satisfied with the progression they have made in the beginner 1 course, and eager to continue learning their newfound language. This is course number 2 in our Vietlesson series. After completing the course your level will be classified as pre-intermediate. If have you studied Vietnamese with a private tutor or another program, A2 is the course for you.
SUBJECT INCLUDES:

- Body parts
- Colours
- date and months,
- food
- Shopping & Bargaining
- travelling,
- shopping,
- describing objects
- prepositions
- fashion
- Weather
Each lesson is broken down into logical exercises which focus on conversation and pronunciation, listening and writing.
Homework exercises are also a key focus, including our online app which mirrors the course lessons.
This course is very popular among students who have had lessons or different teachers in the past and are looking to take up Vietnamese once again, without starting again from the first course. In this instance, if you are unsure of your level, then our teacher is willing to meet you for a short test to assess your level.
The art of picking up any language is to not be discouraged. Many students are unconfident for a long time, very often throughout the first courses. It’s about chipping away slowly and consistently and having faith that you can achieve your language goals.
Beginner 2 is the course where we see many students enjoying their new home and embracing Vietnamese culture much more.
From successfully ordering in restaurants, bartering at the markets, and talking with landlords and cleaners successfully is where confidence in communication is built.
The way you are treated and respected by locals then changes, as they can see your commitment to learning their culture including how to properly address people and respond to questions in the correct way.

Vietlesson is a great place to start your Vietnamese-journey. I did the A1 and the A2-Course and it was a great basis to start talking Vietnamese. The teacher’s Lien and Ha are awesome, super helpful and joining the courses is a lot of fun. Also, the manager and the other staff are very supportive, flexible and nice. Fully recommend Vietlesson to everyone who wants to learn Vietnamese.

Really, fantastic place. I did the beginner 1 class earlier in the year and it was such fun. Vietlesson seem to get a nice balance of being informal and professional. You are pushed to do well.
They incorporate an app into their learning process, which is a great way to build vocab at home. The teaching approach has a bit of an edge on other schools, insofar as they start right from the start and teach you the Vietnamese alphabet. It’s a chore at the beginning, but later on you have the building lessons to teach yourself Vietnamese.
In Lien, they have one of the best teachers – and nicest human beings – you could hope to meet. Thoroughly recommend Vietlesson as the place to get your language learning started!
