Welcome to Vietlesson. We are an industrious little language centre putting it’s mark on Hanoi. As the name suggests we specialise in Vietnamese lessons for foreigners, tucked away in our secret coffee house garden in Tay Ho. Learning Vietnamese in Hanoi has never been so easy & accessible as it is today.
Although learning any language is challenging, within a month we will have you speaking confidently and starting to understand the fundamentals of the language. We offer a step-by-step learning program that will take you from Beginner to advance in 6 months.
We don’t promise you the world and not deliver. The hard work has to come from you first. What we do is offer is a logical & methodical language program, offering great value for money to the learner and a real-life communication solution. Not to mention a comfortable, convenient and composed location to study at.

How can I sign up for Vietnamese classes?
It is really simple to sign up for the next course.
- Email us at info@vietlesson with some information about the class you’d like to try. We will invite you to come along to the first lesson to see if you like it, meet the teacher and the other students and answer any additional questions you may have.

Where do I find out when the new classes are?
We have a detailed, up-to-date schedule on our website, which shows you when the next class is starting. If you are unable to find a class that meets your requirements, then please send us a quick email to info@vietlesson.com with your information and request and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

What times and schedule are your classes?
Our classes can be held in the mornings or evenings and we will try to offer new classes at both times to maximise access to new students.
Time slots in the mornings are normal: 9am – 10:30am or 10:30am – 12pm.
The evenings are usually 6pm – 7:30pm or 7:30pm – 9pm.
The study days are usually staggered such as Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays to give students enough time to complete their class homework etc.

How much do the courses cost?
Not all courses are the same price, as not all courses run for the same duration and require the same experience and group balance. Vietlesson are focussed on providing genuine value to our students with real results.

How many students per class?
Each course on average is made up of 6-10 students. This makes for the best learning environment for the student. Each student gets enough quality time with the teacher, but can also benefit from sharing knowledge and practice with other students around them.
The lessons are fun and interactive with a good mix of personalities and energy.
In order to help us manage our class numbers, please confirm your plans to attend any new classes we advertise.
If I have learned before but not with Vietlesson, how do I know what level I am?
If you have learned some Vietnamese before, but are thinking about starting a course with vietlesson then the best thing to do is write us brief email to info@vietlesson.com.
Give some detail about how long you have learned and your level in your own words. We will then get in contact about setting an appointment, where you can come and meet with our Vietnamese teacher and be given an assessment of your current level.
We will recommend a class for you to come and try which will be suitable for you.
Do you do private lessons?
Private lessons are available at Vietlesson, however due to our busy course structure it is not always easy to guarantee availability for this. Please email us at info@vietlesson.com with some information about you request and we will do our best to accomodate you.
Private lesson prices are available on request.
